Manga centers on reunion, romance between 26-year-old woman, disabled man
The July issue of Kodansha's Kiss magazine revealed on Thursday that Rie Aruga's Perfect World manga will get a live-action film adaptation.
The manga centers on 26-year-old Tsugumi Kawana, an employee in an interior design company. When she attends a get-together with employees from a construction firm, she has an unexpected reunion with Itsuki Ayukawa, an old flame from high school. Tsugumi still thinks of her time with him fondly, but now she finds that he has to move around in a wheelchair, and initially thinks that reviving a romance with him would be impossible.
Aruga launched the manga in Kiss magazine in February 2015. Kodansha published the manga's fifth compiled book volume on March 13.
