Yomawari Horror Game Gets Sequel For PS4, Vita
posted on by Rai Kelly
Video game news website Dengeki Online revealed on Tuesday that Nippon Ichi Software is developing a sequel for its horror game Yomawari. The game, titled Shin Yomawari (Late Night Wandering), is slated for release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on August 24.
In the original game, players take the role of a little girl who uses a single flashlight to search in the night for her lost sister and dog. The sequel will use the same concept as the first game, but the game's map will be about twice as large.
Kadokawa's Dengeki PlayStation magazine will reveal the story's prologue, the system for self-defense against ghosts, and the game's "two girls" who are searching for each other on Thursday.
Nippon Ichi Software developed the first Yomawari game for PlayStation Vita and released it in Japan in October 2015. NIS America released physical and digital editions for the game in North America and Europe last October. The game launched worldwide on PC last October.
Nippon Ichi Software opened a teaser website for a new title on Monday. The website has first-person 360° video of someone walking alone at night with a flashlight.
