Seven Seas Entertainment announced on Friday that it has licensed Yumi Unita's Sleeping Beauty (Nemurime Hime) manga. The first single volume is slated for November 21.
Seven Seas Entertainment describes the series:
High school student Yaneko loves to sleep, so much that she can barely wake up of her own accord. That is, until she is roused from her slumber by a sleep spirit known as Nerim. Yaneko must accompany the benevolent spirit on his daily work route, as he grants the gift of comfortable sleep to people (and animals!) of all ages. But just what is his true purpose and why has he chosen Yaneko to be his assistant? This could very well be the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
Unita (Bunny Drop) launched the ongoing series in Hakusensha's Le Paradis magazine in June 2014. The first compiled volume shipped on April 28.
Unita's earlier slice-of-life manga Usagi Drop (Bunny Drop) began serializing in Shodensha's Feel Young magazine in 2005 and ended in April 2011, and Yen Press published the manga in North America. A television anime aired in Japan from July to September 2011, and a live-action film opened in Japan in December 2011.
