The film has now surpassed the eighth highest-grossing film (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets at 17.3 billion yen) and the seventh highest-grossing film (Bayside Shakedown 2 at 17.35 billion yen) to become the seventh highest-grossing film of all time in Japan. your name. also opened in Taiwan on October 21 on 46 screens, and has earned 52,909,581 Taiwanese Dollars (about US$1,683,785) as of October 31, becoming the highest-grossing Japanese film in Taiwan. The film topped the Taiwanese box office chart in its opening three-day weekend, becoming the first Japanese film since the 2012 live-action Thermae Romae film to do so.
The film held the top spot at the Japanese box office for nine consecutive weeks since it opened in Japan on August 26. The film ranked at #2 during its 10th weekend, relinquishing the top spot to Death Note Light up the NEW world, which opened on October 29.
