M&C! Licenses Unrequited Love Fever, Testament of Black Manga

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
My Little Sheep!, Villain Cinderella manga also licensed, slated for October 5

Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Wednesday that it has licensed Asa Kuwayoshi's Unrequited Love Fever (Kataomoi Fever), Kōhei Hanao's Testament of Black (Bible of Black), Miki Fukawa's My Little Sheep! (Ore no Hitsuji-chan!), and Kaoru Sangatsu's Villain Cinderella (Akuyaku Cinderella) manga. The company will publish both volumes of Unrequited Love Fever, the first volume of Testament of Black, and the single volumes of My Little Sheep! and Villain Cinderella on October 5.

Unrequited Love Fever centers on three childhood friends: Risa, Tomohiro, and Utaya, who since elementary until high school have been together. When Tomohiro falls in love with an upperclassman named Maeda, Risa's long-suppressed romantic feelings toward Tomohiro surface, and she awkwardly confesses her feelings to him. Unfortunately for her, Tomohiro is intent on pursuing Maeda, and declines her. In this confusion, Utaya thinks that he should act on his feelings for Risa himself.

Kuwayoshi launched the manga in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in May 2014, and ended it in July 2015. Kodansha published the manga's second and final compiled book volume in September 2015.

Testament of Black centers on a series of events one spring season, where a serial killer targets and kills criminals with impunity. This series of murders come to be known as the "Adjudicator Killings." The police are stumped with the nature of the murders, thinking only that some inhuman power must be responsible. Shoya Munashi, a boy whose parents were killed by the Adjudicator, knows that the Adjucator is an avenging angel. Shoya makes a pact with a devil named Eve to gain power and take his revenge.

Hanao launched the manga in Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday S magazine in 2014, and ended it last December. Shogakukan published the manga's third and final compiled book volume on February 19.

M&C! describes My Little Sheep!:

Mashiro Shida, a 16-year-old high school student, dreams of falling in love with a prince. She meets Rin Asou, a boy who acts just like a prince.

They immediately begin a relationship with each other. But no sooner can Mashiro move in on Rin, then Rin's brother Ren enters the picture. Ren always wants to be with his older brother, so he has always sabotaged his Rin's relationships. This includes Mashiro, whom Ren calls a "little lamb." This time, Ren wants to test Rin by kissing Mashiro, and starting his own relationship with her.

Fukawa published the manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine in 2014, and ended it last year. Kodansha published the manga's one compiled book volume in March 2015. M&C! previously published Fukawa's How Sweet They Are (Kawaii ni mo Hodo ga Aru!) manga on February 10.

M&C! describes Villain Cinderella:

For the sake of pleasing her little brother, Ayaka Tachibana takes on the first ever part-time job in her life and applies for the lead hero role in a local hero show, but instead is chosen to play the villain. But the show must go on, and for the sake of her brother's smile, so must Ayaka! The lead role ends up going to Shun Kazuma. When they encounter each other, Ayaka begins to change.

Sangatsu published the manga in Kodansha's Dessert magazine last year. Kodansha published the manga's one compiled book volume in August 2015. M&C! previously published Sangatsu's God of Love's Little Miracle (Koi Mikoto) manga in December 2014.
