Aniplus HD Expands Distribution in Thailand & Philippines

Southeast Asian anime channel Aniplus HD confirmed with ANN that it will expand its content distribution in Asia through new distribution deals in the Philippines and Thailand.
In Thailand, Aniplus partnered with Mediaplex International to make an Aniplus branded block in the Now26 platform. The block is airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and launched with Attack on Titan: Junior High, Knights of Sidonia, and Kan Colle. The titles will also be available on the Thai streaming platform OTT.
In the Philippines, Aniplus has partnered with Omnicontent Management, Inc. (OMI) to distribute the channel. OMI distributes a number of channels in the country, and is the exclusive distributor of Fox and STAR branded channels in the Philippines through an agreement with Fox Networks Group Philippines. The channel has not yet found a cable carrier for the channel. Aniplus adds, "We would certainly hope SkyCable, Cignal, CableLink and other parties to carry ANIPLUS so more anime fans can enjoy the latest series direct from Japan."
Aniplus HD/Aniplus-Asia is a 24-hour anime channel based in Singapore, and is a subsidiary of South Korean channel Aniplus TV. It launched in 2013, and is currently broadcast in Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. It partnered with Southeast Asian streaming service iflix and HOOQ last August to add 21 anime titles to the service. iflix is available in Malaysia and the Philippines, while HOOQ is available in the Philippines, India, Indonesia and Thailand.
