Loverin Tamburin Band's Hawaii Concert Cancelled
posted on by Kyle Hallmark
LOVERIN TAMBURIN pianist Akihiro Nagao announced on Twitter on Friday that the band's scheduled performance at Hawaii's Kawaii Kon has been cancelled.
The band was supposed to perform at Kawaii Kon on Saturday and Sunday. Nagao said the cancellation was due to "various circumstances" and did not elaborate beyond that, but he apologized to the band's fans who had been looking forward to the event.
The band was previously forced to cancel a concert at Anime Weekend Atlanta in September when they were barred from entering the United States without work visas.
LOVERIN TAMBURIN is composed of the vocalist Aya, pianist and programmer Akihiro Nagao, guitarists Ryō Fujio and Fire, and drummer Kōta Igarashi. They have performed theme songs for such anime as Disgaea ("Aishitageru") and Nanatsuiro Drops ("mo.o!"). The group released its I say you say album in 2012. The group's latest single "Shirayuki no Yume" is being used as the opening theme song for Idea Factory's Otomate brand's NÄMLICH SHIRAYUKI PlayStation Vita game. The game will ship on May 26.
