Kingdom Hearts χ PC Browser Game Ends Service in September
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Square Enix announced on Thursday that it will end service on its Kingdom Hearts χ ("chi", pronounced "key") PC browser game in the beginning of September. The company said it will announce details such as when the game will formally end service, when the billing system will go offline, and other information at a later date.
Square Enix released the game in 2013 in Japan only. The prequel game is set during the events of the Keyblade War. In the game, players create their own avatar and play as a keyblade wielder.
The game inspired the Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ smartphone game, which Square Enix released in Japan in September and then released in North America on Thursday. The two games share the same worldview. Only the PC browser game will be ending service in September.
