Manga creator HERO launched a new manga series titled Amamizu Linda (Linda of the Rain Water) in Square Enix's Gangan Online web magazine on Monday.
The manga centers on a club calling itself the "handicraft club," whose members secretly meet at an off-limits and abandoned school building. One member of the club finds a book in a second-hand bookstore that describes how to make a "doll." They gather cloth, twigs, sweets, glass, and rain water, and attempt to make something that resembles a human being.
HERO published the original Hori-san to Miyamura-kun manga in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine from 2007 to 2011. Square Enix published 10 compiled book volumes for the manga. The manga inspired three OVA adaptations.
Daisuke Hagiwara is currently serializing the Horimiya manga, which is based on HERO's Hori-san to Miyamura-kun manga. The manga launched in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy manga in 2011. Square Enix published the manga's eighth compiled book volume on November 27. Yen Press is releasing the manga in English, and it released the manga's first volume on October 27.
