Sega began streaming a new promotional video on Thursday for Ecole and French Bread's Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Ignition fighting game. The video highlights the game's new playable and support characters, and features LiSA's theme song "ID."
Ecole and French Bread are developing the game, which debuted in Japanese arcades on July 28. The game will next arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in Japan on December 17. The game will feature 16 playable characters and more than 30 support characters. LiSA (Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, The irregular at magic high school) is performing the game's theme song "ID."
Players who purchase first editions of the game will receive a download code for an original custom theme for their chosen console.
The game adds new playable characters, such as The Devil Is a Part-Timer!'s Emi Yūsa/Emilia, Heavy Object's Quenser, The irregular at magic high school's Tatsuya Shiba, and A Certain Scientific Railgun's Kuroko Shirai. The game also adds new support characters, such as Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu's Kana Iriya, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere's Tomo Asama, and Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahō no Sho's Zero. The game also adds new systems, such as the new ability to pick two support characters and switch between them every round, and it re-balances existing characters.
The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita port of Sega's first Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax arcade fighting game shipped in Japan in November 2014. Sega released the game in North America and Europe in October.
The first game featured 14 playable characters and 23 support characters from ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko light novel titles. The game was launched to celebrate the imprint's 20th anniversary. Mami Kawada performed the original game's first theme song "Belief."
