Pripara Stage Musical Stars Anime's Main Cast

The official PriPara anime website announced on Monday that the main cast for the stage musical, Live Musical PriPara Mi~nna ni Todoke! Prism Voice (Live Musical PriPara Reach everyone! Prism Voice), will be the same as the anime.
The cast members include:
Himika Akaneya (voices Laala Manaka in the anime)
Yū Serizawa (Mirei Minami)
Miyu Kubota (Sophie Hōjō)
Saki Yamakita (Shion Tōdō)
Azuki Shibuya (Dorothy West)
Yūki Wakai (Leona West)
The musical will also introduce an original character.
It is rare for an anime and its corresponding stage play to have the same cast. Other works that have done this are Sakura Wars and Pankis! 2-jigen.
The musical will run from February 4-7, 2016 in Tokyo. Tetsu Taoshita is directing and writing the script.
The first anime series inspired by SynSophia's arcade game for girls premiered in July 2014. The franchise's first film, Gekijō-ban PriPara Mi~nna Atsumare! Prism Tours, premiered this past March, the second season premiered in April, and the second anime film premiered in October.
The story of the television anime revolves around Laala, an elementary school girl who wants to become an idol in PriPara, a sport that judges girls on their song, dance, and fashion. The invitation to the sport is through a PriPara ticket. Even though elementary school students at her school are not allowed to become PriPara idols, through many events, she passes the audition, and becomes an idol.
