Video game development company Age Inc. announced on Friday that the "Amare" update for its and PlayCoo's Lucent Heart online RPG will feature same-sex relationships and marriages. The update will be available this winter.
Yoshiaki Inagawa of Age's Operation Planning Department told the Famitsu website that many players voiced their desire for same-sex couples in the game.
Age Inc. is currently streaming a promotional video for the update.
The update will allow for the emotion action, ring exchanges, and weddings in the game to be available to same-sex couples. Inagawa stated that Age is also considering adding an adoption system in the future.
Suba Games is hosting an open beta for the English version of Lucent Heart, and it describes the game as follows:

Age Inc. and Taiwanese company PlayCoo originally released the game in Japan in August 2008.
