Those who pre-order the game will get two original characters as a bonus: Original Color Dark Lord, Hades; and Original Color Goddess, Athena.
Those who purchase first editions of the game in Japan will receive the same two characters, and they will also receive a product code to be able to play as the eight members of the God Warriors.
Dimps is developing the game, and Bandai Namco Entertainment plans to ship the game with Japanese, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese audio tracks and English, Spanish, French, and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles. The game will feature Gold saints with God Cloths in the original mode for the first time, and will also include the addition of aerial combos and range variation.
Namco Bandai Games worked with Dimps to develop the previous Saint Seiya game, Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers. The company released the PlayStation 3 game in Japan in October 2013, then released the game in North America, Europe, Australasia, and South America in November 2013.
