Square Enix's Dive In Mobile Game Streaming Service Shuts Down
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Square Enix announced on Friday that it will end its Dive In game streaming service for mobile devices on September 13. Square Enix will reimburse customers who purchased a 365-day plan for the service with Square Enix Crystal Credits, which can be used on various online games and services that the company offers.
Square Enix launched the Dive In service on December 3 last year, after being delayed from its original October 9 launch date. The service allowed mobile users to play Square Enix games on their mobile devices through streaming. The service offered the titles Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy VII International, and Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders on launch. Customers purchased a fixed number of days to play the games.
