Lantis Records revealed on Saturday that the band Fo'xTails (Kuroko's Basketball, Junjō Romantica 3) will perform the new, as-yet untitled ending theme song for the Battle Spirits Burning Soul TV anime. The song will be included as the title song of Fo'xTails' third single, which is slated for an October 28 release. The CD single will also contain two other as-yet untitled songs.
Fo'xTails' new song will replace the anime's original ending theme "Dreamless Diver" by Sayaka Sasaki.
The Battle Spirits Burning Soul TV anime, the seventh and latest television anime series inspired by Bandai's Battle Spirits card game, premiered in Japan on April 1.
The Battle Spirits anime franchise launched with the 50-episode Battle Spirits: Shōnen Toppa Bashin series on September 7, 2008. The anime adapted Bandai's original trading card game, in which cards represent dragons, demons, birds, insects, and other spirits that the players can control in battles. Bandai imported the game to America in 2009.
The Battle Spirits: Shōnen Gekiha Dan follow-up series premiered on September 13, 2009. Battle Spirits: Brave, the third Battle Spirits television anime series, then debuted in Japan in September of 2010. The fourth series, Battle Spirits: Heroes, launched in September 2011. Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes, the fifth TV anime in the series, premiered in September 2012, while the sixth TV anime in the series, Battle Spirits: Saikyō Ginga Ultimate Zero premiered on September 2013.
