The Twitter account for Kodansha's Young Magazine the 3rd magazine announced on July 5 that Tomajirō Hoshi's Code Black: Soku Hiki no Lelouch spinoff manga did not appear in the August issue of magazine on July 6. The Twitter account explained that Hoshi is suffering from water poisoning due to drinking unboiled water. The editorial department apologized for the hiatus, and cautioned readers to be careful of the water they drink.
The announcement also revealed that the manga is approaching its climax and only has a few chapters left in its story. The editorial department also announced that Kodansha will publish the manga's second compiled book volume sometime in fall or winter.
Hoshi's Code Black: Soku Hiki no Lelouch (Code Black: Fast-Plucking Lelouch) manga draws inspiration from Sunrise's Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion anime. Hoshi launched the manga in Young Magazine the Third in November last year. Kodansha published the first compiled book volume of the manga on June 5.
The manga's story revolves around Lelouch, who although he has "zero" knowledge of music, he is forced to become the vocalist and guitarist for a band at the school culture festival. Beyond this, a cruel destiny awaits.
