Voice actor Akio Ohtsuka, who has played Solid Snake and Big Boss in the Metal Gear Solid video game franchise, wrote on his personal Twitter account on Saturday that Kojima Productions had been dissolved.

Kojima Productions has unfortunately been dissolved, but because of the team's hard work, the game seems like it is just about complete. It's not an exaggeration to say I expect that this will be [Kojima Productions'] greatest masterpiece! I just want to say "Kept you waiting huh?," I can't help it (laughs). Even if this is the end, MGS is immortal!
Konami has not yet confirmed if Kojima Productions has been dissolved. The company has also not yet confirmed or denied rumors that Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima is leaving Konami after completing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Konami had addressed those rumors in March after a removal of the Kojima Productions logo from its website, stating that the Kojima Productions and other internal companies have had their names changed as part of Konami's restructuring.
The company stated in March that it is hiring new staff to lead the development of a new Metal Gear title.
