posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The official website for Working!!!, the third anime season based on Karino Takatsu's Working! manga, began streaming a second character video on Monday. The video profiles Kiro Yamada (voiced by Satoshi Hino) and Sōta Takanashi (voiced by Jun Fukuyama). The video features the opening theme song "Now!!! Gamble." The website posted the first character video last week.
Kana Asumi, Saki Fujita, and Eri Kitamura (as their characters Popura Taneshima, Mahiru Inami and Yachiyo Todoroki) will sing the opening theme song "Now!! Gamble," while Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono, and Hiroshi Kamiya (as Sōta Takanashi, Jun Satō, Hirōmi Sōma) will sing the ending theme song "Matsuge ni Lock" (Lock on Eyelashes).
The story of the manga and anime follows high school freshman Sōta Takanashi who works part-time at a restaurant with strange staff members. When he starts his job, he meets the small but elder Popura, the androphobic Mahiru, the cheerful Yachiyo, the stoic chef Satō, the gossip-loving cook Sōma, and the glutenous, lazy manager Kyōko.
Yumi Kamakura (assistant director on Inazuma Eleven GO, Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, Pokémon: Giratina & The Sky Warrior, Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew) will take over as director of the anime. A-1 Pictures will animate the series, monaca (Aikatsu!, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!, Star Driver, Wake Up, Girls!) will return to compose the music, and Shingo Adachi (Sword Art Online, Galilei Donna, Rockman.EXE Beast+) will again design the characters and also serve as the animation director.
The cast from the previous seasons will also return. Additionally, Koji Yusa will play the season's new character Tōru Minegishi.
The new season will premiere on July 4.
Takatsu began the manga in Shonen Gangan in 2005, and the manga already inspired two television anime seasons. Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan, and NIS America licensed and released both in North America under the title Wagnaria!!
