Tales of Zestiria Confirmed for PS4, PC via Steam

Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed on Friday that it will offer its Tales of Zestiria role-playing game on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, in addition to the previously announced PlayStation 3 release. It will debut in North America on October 20. In Europe, it will debut on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on October 16, followed by the Steam release on October 20. Brazil will then receive the game on October 23.
Bandai Namco Entertainment describes the story and gameplay:
An unseen evil force known as Malevolence is spreading across the land, corrupting the world and causing humanity to falter. Players will embark on an epic journey as Sorey, a young pure-hearted adventurer whose destiny is to become The Shepard, an individual of great power that can banish Malevolence. Does Sorey have the courage and heart to wield this extraordinary responsibility for good, or will he fall prey to the evils of its power?Tales of Zestiria introduces a new version of its celebrated real-time battle system, allowing for faster combat with side dashes and new fusion technique combo opportunities. Throughout his quest, Sorey will befriend humans and spirits known as Seraphim, unseen to most humans, to aide him on his journey. Because of Sorey's unique ability to communicate with the Seraphim he is able to fuse with their essence to create new elemental artes for strategic attacks to decimate foes.

The game shipped for PlayStation 3 on January 22 in Japan. Bandai Namco Entertainment will ship the game in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australasia, and it will include both Japanese and English audio tracks. The anime special inspired by the game premiered in Japan last December.
The database for digital game distribution platform Steam briefly listed Tales of Zestiria in February, but then updated the title to "TOZ." The mobile website of Bandai Namco Singapore briefly listed the game for PlayStation 4 and PC on Tuesday.
The anime studio ufotable is producing the Tales of 20th Anniversary Animation television anime for broadcast next year. The anime's promotional video teases, "The Journey of the shepherd transcends Zestiria."
