Game company Taito announced that it will open a "real puzzle game," titled "Fairy Tail Puzzle Quest ~Welcome to Fairy Tail!~," in Tokyo and Osaka on April 25.
In the game, the players are members of the Fairy Tail guild, solving requests and progressing the story. Players will meet characters like Natsu, Lucy, Gray, and Erza, solving puzzles alongside them and exploring the world of Fairy Tail. Much like Real Escape Games, players have to solve puzzles to get items and passwords, but the game has no time limit.
Taito will open the game in the eighth floor of the Yodobashi Akiba building from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Tokyo, and in the first floor of the Ario Yao building from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Osaka. The last day for both events is on May 31. After May 11 the event will be weekends only.
Recent anime-inspired Real Escape Games have included an Attack on Titan game in Yokohama Stadium (which eventually reached U.S. cities) and a Detective Conan game in Takamatsu city.
