posted on by Egan Loo
Mediascape officially unveiled the "Play, Doujin" project, which will publish dōjin games (such as fan-made Touhou Project titles) on PlayStation platforms, on Thursday. The company will release games on both the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in collaboration with Touhou Project creator ZUN.
Mediascape announced that CUBETYPE, a circle known for Touhou dōjin work with 3D graphics, is also joining the initiative with the tentatively titled PlayStation 4 shooting game Gensō no Rondo. The game is already available for Windows.
Sony revealed in September that AquaStyle's rogue-like Fushigi no Gensōkyō (Mysterious Land of Illusion), Strawberry Bose's role-playing game Touhou Sōjin ENGI (Touhou Blue God Omen), and Ryōiki Zero's "3D high-tension spell battle action" game Touhou Sky Arena Matsuri (Touhou Sky Arena Festival) are coming to the PlayStation platforms. The first two are planned for the PS Vita, while Touhou Sky Arena Matsuri's platform has not been announced.
Mediascape also debuted two custom themes for the PS Vita in the PlayStation Store.
