posted on by Sarah Nelkin
CAPCOM announced at a press conference at the first business day of Tokyo Game Show that it is collaborating with Marvelous to develop a Monster Hunter Spirits arcade cabinet. The arcade machine is used to play a card game themed after CAPCOM's Monster Hunter franchise.
The game will allow players to form a team with monsters to fight. The cabinet is scheduled to be released in Japan in spring 2015.
CAPCOM also unveiled an upcoming Monster Hunter online game titled Monster Hunter: Mezeporta Kaitaku-ki (Monster Hunter: Mezeporta Trail-Blazing Diaries). The game turns Monster Hunter Frontier G into a simulation RPG. The game was unveiled with a promotional video that features Kana Hanazawa (Tonari no Seki-kun, Kobato.) as the character Papi:
In the video, Papi says, "Master, this is the exact time when we need your power!"
The game will begin service on November 27.
