Pony Canyon began streaming a 15-second television commercial on Friday for the upcoming original anime series Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru. Haruka Terui (Engaged to the Unidentified's Kobeni) plays Yūna in the commercial.
In the video, the main character Yūna Yūki introduces herself: "Hero, depart! I'm Yūna Yūki. I'm a hero in middle school. Everyday is noisy, but it's very fun! Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha will begin broadcasting in October."
Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation) is directing the series based on an original plan by Takahiro (Akame ga KILL!) at Studio Gokumi. Makoto Uezu is handling series composition and BUNBUN is designing the characters.
The story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she's also a member of the "Hero Club," where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called "Vertex."
The series will air on MBS' "Animeism" block in starting in October.
