The official website for Date A Live: Ars Install, Compile Heart's second PlayStation 3 game inspired by Koushi Tachibana's Date A Live light novel series and anime, began streaming the opening video on Friday. The video features the game's opening theme song, "Installation" by sweet ARMS (Iori Nomizu, Misuzu Togashi, Kaori Sadohara, and Misato).
The game's website also posted voice samples from some of the cast members.
Within the story of the game, protagonist Shido Itsuka is playing an alternate virtual reality game. When he arrives in the virtual world, he finds a mysterious girl named Maria Arusu (voiced by Suzuko Mimori), who says, "Shido Itsuka... I ask you: What is love?" According the video, she is an irregular existence that should not exist inside of the game. After a strange malfunction during his play time, Shido is suddenly trapped inside of the virtual world. In order to save him, the other girls jump into the game to go on "abnormal dates."
The game from developer Sting will ship for PlayStation 3 on June 26. The limited edition of the game will come with an original drama CD and special book, and those who pre-order the game will also receive a separate drama CD. The normal version of the game will retail for 7,344 yen (about US$73), the limited edition package will sell for 9,504 yen (about US$94), and the digital version of the game will have a price of 6,480 yen (about US$64).
