Tōzoku to 1000-Biki no Pokémon 3DS Game's Trailer Show Stampede Battles
posted on by Egan Loo
The Pokémon Company began streaming a promotional video for its upcoming free-to-play game Tōzoku to 1000-Biki no Pokémon (The Thieves and the 1,000 Pokémon) on Thursday. (The title is an apparent reference to the Japanese title for Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.)
Players can befriend and collect Pokémon from other players via StreetPass, and then use herds of them in stampede battles against a band of thieves to recover stolen secret treasures. However, a player will lose a battle without enough Pokémon. The thieves are Marilyn and Riot from the first Pokémon XY film, Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction.
The game will be free to download from June 5 to September 30 in Japan. In addition, the video teases that something will happen if player bring the game to Japanese theaters showing Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction this summer.
