posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Japanese video game publisher Atlus began streaming an introduction video to the Persona-summoning system for its upcoming Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth Nintendo 3DS game on Friday:
-
Yukari: Come to think of it, Rei and Zen, you both don't use Personas to fight, do you?
Zen: Persona... Ah, the "power of the heart" you all hold. Yes, neither I or Rei have this ability.
Yōsuke: I faced my Shadow, and accepted my weak self... That's how we got our Personas.
Rise: Including the Shadows we don't have info on, there are three enemies. They don't look that strong!
Yōsuke: Let's do this, partner!
Yū: You got it, partner!
The video informs viewers that by using a character's Persona(s), the player is able to defeat enemies. By using skills, players can summon their Personas. Spells used by Personas can not only attack enemies, but heal allies. There are occasions when the player will receive a new Persona after battle. Characters can equip a "sub-Persona" along with their main Persona.
The game will ship in Japan on June 5. People who pre-order the game will receive the Persona Q: Sound of the Labyrinth original soundtrack. The CD will feature the new music from the game, in special re-arrangements by the Atlus sound team that can only be heard on this CD.
There will also be a Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth Famitsu DX Pack with the game itself, a B2-size tapestry illustrated by the Persona Q anime staff, an A3-size clear poster illustrated by Atlus, a set of five different visual clear file folders, an original mug cup, and a Graphig paper figure of Rei.
