Bravely Default Gets Free Side Story Demo in N. America on January 2

Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime revealed during the Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday that Square Enix's Bravely Default game is getting a free demo on the Nintendo e-Shop in North America on January 2. The demo will be a side story that will not be included in Nintendo's release of the main game. Nintendo is currently streaming a trailer for the demo.
Fils-Aime also explained the game's "sleep points" system during the Nintendo direct presentation.
Square Enix collaborated with Naotaka Hayashi, scenario writer for 5pb.'s Robotics;Notes, Steins;Gate, and Chaos;HEAd games, to create Bravely Default. The game shipped in Japan in October 2012.
The game's Western release will be the enhanced version of the game, titled Bravely Default: For the Sequel in Japan. The enhanced game shipped in Japan on December 5, and in Europe on December 6. The game will ship in North America on February 7 and will feature a limited edition with an artbook, 34 AR cards, and an original soundtrack CD.
