2nd Yama no Susume Season Slated for Summer

The January issue of Kadokawa's Newtype magazine is reporting on Tuesday that the second Yama no Susume (Encouragement of Climb) anime season will premiere next summer. The second season based on Shiro's manga will have 15-minute episodes — unlike the first season, which had five-minute episodes — and will run for two cours or half a year.
The manga and anime tell the story of childhood friends: Aoi, a girl who prefers staying inside and who has acrophobia, and Hinata, a girl who loves mountains. The two decide to climb a mountain in order to once again see the morning sun from its peak as they did when they were young.
