posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Atlus USA began streaming the English launch trailer for the Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (Shin Sekaija no Meikyū: Millennium no Shōjo) Nintendo 3DS role-playing game on Tuesday. The trailer previews MADHOUSE's additional animated scenes for the game.
The studio Madhouse produced not only the opening anime, but other anime sequences for the game.
The game features an expanded story mode and a classic mode that updates the original Etrian Odyssey game. The story mode allows players to use five pre-made characters with personality and dialogue to explore a story not told in the first game. The game also features a Grimoire Stone system allowing characters to use skills outside of their classes. Shigeo Komori directed the game, and Shin Nagasawa designed the monsters.
Atlus USA began selling the game in stores and on the Nintendo e-Shop for US$39.99 on October 1. Those who pre-ordered the game will get a seven-track music CD by composer Yuzo Koshiro and a design book.
The game shipped in Japan on June 27 for 6,279 yen (about US$63).
Atlus USA released Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan for the Nintendo 3DS on February 26.
