The media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that will stream the Monogatari Series Second Season television anime series. Crunchyroll will stream the series for both free and premium users starting on August 6 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The series will be available for viewers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
The new streaming service Daisuki is also streaming Monogatari Series Second Season starting on July 6.
The "second season" arc of the Monogatari series will cover the material from six volumes of the original light novel series in two cours or half a year. The show will premiere in Japan on July 6.
Akiyuki Shinbo is directing the series and is acting as series script supervisor along with Fuyashi Tou. Akio Watanabe is serving as character designer and chief animation director at SHAFT, and Satoru Kousaki is handling the music. The cast remains unchanged from Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari.
Aniplex of America announced last month that it has acquired the rights to both Nekomonogatari (Black) and Monogatari Series Second Season and noted then that both series will stream this summer.
Aniplex of America previously released Bakemonogatari on Blu-ray Disc last year, and released Nisemonogatari on Blu-ray Disc in February.
