Kyō no Asuka Show Comedy Manga to End in 3 Chapters
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
The cover of the July issue of Shogakugan's Monthly Big Comic Spirits magazine announced last month that Taishi Mori's Kyō no Asuka Show comedy manga would end in three chapters. If the manga continues until its end without a break, it will end in the magazine's September issue on July 27. The story of the manga follows the private daily life of a cute, beautiful middle school girl named Asuka Kyōno.
Mori began the manga in 2009 in Monthly Big Comic Spirits, and it later received a web anime adaptation last year featuring Arisa Noto as Asuka and Keiji Fujiwara as her father. Masashi Kudo (Bleach) directed the anime at the Studio Silver Link, and he also designed the character designs. Masato Jinbo is credited as its series director.
This past March, Mori launched a manga version of Eiichi Nakata's acclaimed modern novel Kuchibiru ni Uta o (A Song on Our Lips) about a middle school chorus club.
