The organizers of Otakon announced on Thursday that Japanese hip-hop group Home Made Kazoku will return to the convention in Baltimore, Maryland to perform a concert on August 10. The joint concert event will also feature the previously announced musical guest T.M. Revolution.
Home Made Kazoku is composed of vocalists Micro and KURO along with DJ U-ichi. Micro and KURO both lived in the United States; Micro grew up in Kentucky, while KURO lived in Chicago until he was 12. The group formed in 2004 and have since performed theme songs for Bleach, Eureka Seven, Naruto Shippūden, and Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds. They released their seventh studio album, 3RISE, in Japan on September 12, 2012, and digitally for overseas fans on January 1.
This is the group's second performance at Otakon. They made their American debut at the convention in 2010. This year, Otakon will take place on August 9-11.
