Otakon to Host Voice Actor/Musician Tetsuya Kakihara

The organizers of Otakon announced on Thursday that they will host voice actor and musician Tetsuya Kakihara during the July 27-29 convention in Baltimore.
Kakihara debuted as a voice actor in 2003 and he won the Best Rookie actor award in the first-ever seiyuu awards in 2007. He has voiced roles in more than 80 anime, including Fairy Tail's Natsu, Gurren Lagann's Simon, Ozma's Sam, Gundam UC's Angelo, and Toriko's Tom.
Kakihara has also sang the opening theme songs for Brave10, Sengoku Paradise Kiwami, the Fairy Tail video anime and the Angel's Feather video anime. He has released two album's through Bandai Visual and Lantis' kiramune label for voice actors.
Otakon will also host voice actress and singer Aya Hirano, Macross and Gundam illustrator Hidetaka Tenjin, Hangry&Angry illustrator Gashicon, voice actor Michael Sinterniklaas, and actor and martial artist Jason David Frank.
