Viki, a website that streams authorized videos with crowd-sourced translations, is releasing eight more television and original net anime titles. The website announced on Thursday that it is streaming Leiji Matsumoto's television anime Ozma as it airs in Japan.
The first 17 episodes of the Black Jack television anime and its Black Jack 21 sequel are currently available on the website. Crunchyroll is also streaming Black Jack online in North America and the United Kingdom, but this is the first time that Black Jack 21 has been licensed in North America.
Viki is streaming all 52 episodes of the second Astro Boy television anime series, also based on Osamu Tezuka's original manga. Manga Entertainment has released the series on VHS and DVD. Hulu, YouTube, and ANN have licensed the anime for internet streaming.
All 39 episodes of Oniisama E... and all 12 episodes of the Master of Epic anime are available on Viki. This is the first time that the television anime series have been licensed for distribution in North America. The website is also streaming 40 episodes of the Waimo-kun children's television anime series.
Viki will stream the original net anime Penguin Girl, although no episodes are available yet. The Nico Nico Douga website previously posted the 22-episode series online. Viki is also releasing the Glass Maiden television anime outside of North America. Sentai Filmworks released the series' complete collection on DVD in North America last October.
