Naruto: Bonds' U.S. Theatrical Premiere Slated for October 15 (Updated)

The North American anime distributor Viz Media announced that the previously revealed American theatrical premiere of Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds (Naruto Shippūden: Kizuna) will take place in New York City on October 15. The New York School of Visual Arts Theatre will screen the film at 7:00 p.m.
Junko Takeuchi, the voice of the title hero Naruto, will appear at a red carpet event at 6:00 p.m. The first 200 attendees will receive a Naruto plush toy, and premiere attendees will also receive a gift bag with Namco Bandai's Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Impact video game, Bandai America's Naruto Shippūden Collectable Card Game packs, Great Eastern's Naruto keychains, and other collectibles.
The film will also screen at New York Anime Festival a day earlier on October 14. Also that day, Takeuchi will appear at a Naruto Shippūden panel as a guest of the convention.
Update: Viz notified ANN that the New York Anime Festival screening will be for television episodes.
