Manifest On This Weekend

This year's Melbourne Anime Festival, also known as Manifest, will take place this weekend from Friday August 26 to Sunday August 28 at the Melbourne Showgrounds. The event will run from 9:00AM to 9:00PM on Friday, 10:00AM to 9:00PM on Saturday and 10:00AM to 7:00PM on Sunday.
Manifest is the longest running anime convention in Australia and received over 7000 guests last year. This year's features include anime screenings throughout the convention, panels, auctions, traders, video games and various competitions including cosplay. In addition to the regular screenings, Madman Entertainment will present the first episode of Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing-, which is yet to broadcast on Japanese television.
Attending as special guests will be voice actor Marianne Miller (Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie - Conqueror of Shamballa, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), LittleKuriboh (creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series), and Lanipator and KaiserNeko of Team Four Star, creators of Dragon Ball Z: Abridged.
Ticket prices range from $30/$35 for a single day pass to $55 for all three days, with premium tickets including priority entry and other benefits also available. An schedule of the convention's events is available online and further information is available on Manifest's website.
