Manga Entertainment Comments on Xam'd and Freedom Blu-Rays

Manga Entertainment has tweeted some comments about its scheduled Blu-Ray releases of the second half of Xam'd: Lost Memories and the Original Video Animation series Freedom.
Following Monday's release of the first half of the BONES series Xam'd: Lost Memories on DVD and Blu-Ray, Manga was asked by twitterer FunktionJCB if it could guarantee the second volume would appear on Blu-Ray. Manga replied that "We have to assess how well Part 1 does between now and August 18th" (representing a month of sales).
Manga has previously left series such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Casshern Sins unfinished on Blu-Ray, although Manga's Jerome Mazandarani said at MCM Expo that he was still trying to figure out how to finish the Blu-Ray FMA: Brotherhood. Also in May, Manga tweeted that it "would have to be much more careful" about which anime it released on Blu-Ray, following the disappointing BR sales of titles such as Casshern Sins.
At present, the second BR volume of Xam'd: Lost Memories (pictured) is listed as available for pre-order on Amazon UK. Both the Blu-Ray and DVD editions are provisionally scheduled for September 5. The UK Anime website reports that it has received Blu-Ray review "check discs" of the entire series.
On Freedom, Manga tweeted that it will release the series in a "doubleplay" package including the Blu-Ray, DVD, a set of art cards and a slip case. Freedom, a science-fiction adventure with character designs by Katsuhiro Ōtomo, was announced by Manga at the MCM Expo in May. It will be provisionally released on October 10. (Beez had briefly released the series as a Blu-Ray exclusive in 2008.)
