1st Nanoha Film Tops Weekly BD Chart with 58,000 (Updated)

The limited first edition Blu-ray Disc of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st sold 58,000 copies to rank #1 on the overall Blu-ray Disc chart for the November 22-28 week. The DVD version ranked #2 on its respective chart with 22,758 copies. The film had taken in 380 million yen (about US$4.4 million) at the box office this year. The second film, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the Movie 2nd A's, will open in Japan in 2012.

Update: The Mainichi Shimbun paper's Mantan Web site reports that the Blu-ray Complete Box of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was #2 with 31,000 copies.
