GeGeGe no Nyōbō (Spooky Wife), the live-action television drama adaptation of an autobiographical essay book by GeGeGe no Kītarō author Shigeru Mizuki's wife Nunoe Mura, ran on Wednesday, August 11 at 8:00 a.m. and earned a 20.7 rating.
The second live-action television series based on Satoru Hiura's Hotaru no Hikari women's romance manga aired on Wednesday, August 11 at 10:00 p.m. with a 15.0 rating.
The first film in Yukihiko Tsutsumi's live-action trilogy adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys manga aired on Friday, August 13 at 9:00 p.m. It garnered at 12.0 rating as the #1 film of the week. The 18th live-action movie based on Juzo Yamasaki's Tsuri Baka Nisshi ("Diary of a Fishing Fool") manga aired on August 9 at 9:00 p.m and racked up a 11.2 rating. The Pocket Monster: Serebii Toki o Koeta Deai (Pokémon 4Ever) film re-aired on Friday, August 13 at 1:30 p.m. with 1.8 rating.
