J-Rock Bands The Pillows, VAMPS' U.S. Concerts Dated

The Pillows, the rock band known for its work on FLCL, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, and Moonlight Mile, will be hosting a short tour in California in May. The band will perform on May 21 at Slim's in San Francisco, and May 23 at the Glasshouse in Pomona. The Pillows will be touring with three other bands: Noodles, Monokuro, and Pop Chocolat. The Pillows previously performed at Anime Boston in 2008.
The J-rock duo VAMPS, made up of Oblivion Dust guitarist K.A.Z and L'Arc-en-Ciel vocalist HYDE, have announced dates and locations for their 2010 world tour. The tour includes three stops in the United States in October. The group will also play in France, Spain, China, and Chile.
- October 1 - Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA
- October 3 - The Great American Music Hall San Francisco, CA
- October 9 - The Roseland Ballroom, New York, NY
VAMPS performance in New York coincides with the New York Anime Festival and New York Comic Con, but the announcement did not say whether or not the duo will be attending these events. The band also held an American tour in 2009.
