Actress Chisa Yokoyama Injured in Scooter Accident (Updated)

39-year-old voice actress Chisa Yokoyama revealed in a Sunday blog entry that she was in a motor scooter accident on Saturday. She said that her broken left arm and other injuries will need three weeks to heal. Her other injuries include bruises on her left side, scratches on her right side, pain in all her muscles, and a sore neck from her arm's sling.
According to Yokoyama, a door of a parked car suddenly opened and struck the side of her scooter. She acknowledged that she has no direct recollection of how the accident happened, but said that the aftermath can be seen in the damage to the exterior of the car's door and the center section of her scooter. She asked her blog readers to "be careful not just of influenza, but also cars."
Yokoyama is best known for voicing the lead character Sakura Shinguji in the Sakura Wars game and anime franchise. She also voiced Sasami in the Tenchi Muyo! franchise and Yuna Kagurazaka in Galaxy Fraulein Yuna.
