Sex Pistols Boys-Love OVA's Promo Video Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the original video animation (OVA) version of Tarako Kotobuki's Sex Pistols boys-love manga has begun streaming the first 39-second promotional video through the Animate.tv service. The "science love fiction" story revolves around a high school boy who discovers that he is part of a select group of humans. These individuals did not evolve from primates, but from various animals such as leopards and black bears.
Tokyopop's Blu imprint published the manga — which has no relation to the British punk rock band of the same name — in North America under the name Love Pistols. The incomplete manga ran in Biblos' Magazine Be-Boy from 2003 to 2006, and five compiled manga volumes and four audio drama CDs have been released. The first of the anime's two DVD volumes will ship in Japan this winter, followed by the second volume next spring.
The promotional video is initially available only to people who participate in the web banner campaign, although it will be made available to the general public on Friday.
