Cutie Honey The Live actress Mikie Hara to star in drama adaptation

Jō-ō Virgin is the second incarnation of the manga seen to the right, Jō-ō (which loosely translates as "princess"). The series is written by Ryō Kurashina and drawn by Nao Kurebayashi. The first series tells the story of a woman who works in one of Japan's ubiquitous "hostess bars" and competes to win the grand prize in a "Hostess Grand Prix," while Jō-ō Virgin focuses on a group of young women who are eligible for a new Grand Prix competition because they were born in the Heisei era (the year 1989 or later). The original series was already adapted into a television drama in the same time slot in 2005, making this the second time the series has been adapted for a live-action format.
