Anime Weekend Atlanta to Host Yasuhiro Imagawa

Director of Giant Robo, G Gundam, Shin Mazinger Shōgeki! Z-Hen, Hameln, more

The Anime Weekend Atlanta convention announced last week that it will be hosting director Yasuhiro Imagawa at the September 18-20 event in Georgia. Imagawa has directed several unconventional updates of classic Japanese robot stories, such as Giant Robo, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and most recently, Shin Mazinger Shōgeki! Z-Hen. He also wrote scripts for Pet Shop of Horrors, Violinist of Hamelin, Berserk, and Hareluya II Boy.

Anime Weekend Atlanta's other Japanese guests include animator Tsuyoshi Nonaka (D.I.C.E, Shin Mazinger Shōgeki! Z-Hen) and the musical acts Omodaka and PEELANDER-Z.
