Aoi Hana's TV Ad, Promo, Production Video Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for J.C. Staff's television anime adaptation of Takako Shimura's Aoi Hana (Sweet Blue Flowers) yuri manga has begun streaming three videos on Tuesday. The website's trailer section now features a 15-second television commercial, a 115-second promotional video, and a 38-second behind-the-scenes production video.
Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Kimikiss pure rouge, Nodame Cantabile) will direct the anime series, and Fumihiko Takayama (Gunparade March, Orguss 02, Yomigaeru Sora - RESCUE WINGS -) will supervise the scripts. Masayuki Onchi (Cromartie High School , Daa! Daa! Daa!, Mirmo Zibang!) is designing the characters. The manga has been running in Ohta Books' Manga Erotics F magazine since 2004, and four volumes have been compiled and published.
In the original manga's story, Fumi and Akira were close childhood friends until Fumi had to move away. Ten years after losing touch with each other, the two girls meet again as high school freshmen. The two struggle to reconnect after so much has changed, and both deal with the trials and tribulations of high school — sometimes independently and sometimes with each other's help.
