Australia's Red Ant to Release Evangelion: 1.0 on DVD

Red Ant Enterprises, which is based in Sydney, announced that it has acquired the rights to distribute, market, and promote the DVD release of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone throughout Australia. This movie remake of the Evangelion series will be one of about 35 films that Red Ant is planning to bring out throughout the year, and into 2009. No exact date has been set yet.
Red Ant is a leading Australian company that specializes in distributing videogames for the Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and other systems, as well as computer software. For DVDs, it will partner with Rialto Distribution, which has been putting arthouse and independent films from around the world on Australian home video, screening them in theaters around the country, and operating the Rialto TV digital channel.
