Some Issues Reported with 4 January 8 Bandai Ent. DVDs

Readers of ANN are reporting playback issues with some copies of Bandai Entertainment DVDs that were scheduled for January 8 but were released ahead of schedule. Those DVDs are Eureka Seven Volume 11, Flag Volume 2, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny Volume 12 (standard or limited edition), and My-Otome Volume 4. The anime retailer Robert's Anime Corner Store said in its official blog that 10% to 25% of the shipped Flag #2, My-Otome #4, and Gundam Seed Destiny #12 DVDs have had issues reported, with Gundam Seed Destiny #12 having the most issues. AnimeOnDVD.com has additional reports in its forums. Bandai Entertainment has informed ANN that it is aware of the reports and is looking into them. The company will have more information next week, when it is closer to the official release date.
