MediaWorks Announces Manga Versions of Light Novels
posted on by Evan Miller
Toradora!, Ōkami to Kōshinryō manga debut this summer
Japanese publisher MediaWorks has announced that two light novels (novels that usually feature a relatively high number of illustrations), Toradora! by Yuyuko Takemiya and Ōkami to Kōshinryō (Wolves and Spices) by Isuna Hasekura, will be made into manga titles. Such adaptations are not new to MediaWorks; the company previously adapted the Kino's Journey light novel to become a television anime series of the same name.
The manga version of the romantic comedy Toradora! will be drawn by Zekkyō, who used to draw for the manga magazine Comic Rex. Ōkami to Kōshinryō, a fantasy tale about an intellectual wolf and her traveling companion, will be drawn by Kujibiki Unbalance manga artist Keito Koume.
Both manga will eventually appear in manga magazines distributed by MediaWorks. Toradora! is scheduled to debut in the September issue of Dengeki Comic Gao! and Ōkami will debut in the November issue of Dengeki Maoh.
