Website Opens for TIFFCOM, TPG Media Market Events

Registration begins for sister events of Tokyo International Film Festival
TIFFCOM 2007, a series of industry events held in conjunction with the Tokyo International Film Festival, has launched its official website and online registration. The TIFFCOM content market consists of an exhibit area for film, television, print, game, and other media companies to promote their current works. The Tokyo Project Gathering (TPG) event assembles production companies from Japan and other countries to encourage international financing on future works. Both events will take place on October 22-24, with an opening reception for TPG on October 21.
The Tokyo International Film Festival itself is Japan's only international film festival officially approved by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, and the 20th edition will take place on October 20-28. Previous years of the festival have hosted live-action adaptations of manga, and several anime movies such as Ghost in the Shell have premiered in Japan at the formerly held Tokyo International Fantastic Film Festival.
