In addition to other extras, the first volume of Planetes will also include the first of three sets of interviews with scientists that work in NASA's Orbital Space Debris Section. The second and third parts of the interviews will be included on Planetes volumes 2 and 3.
The Japanese Planetes Dorama will be included as an audio-only extra, the Dorama will be spread over all six volumes of Bandai's release.
The first volume will also include commentary for episode 1 from the Japanese director and cast, interviews with the English director and a cast member and an Orbital Space Debris image gallery. Each subsequent volume should have an interview with a different English cast member. The Orbital Space Debris image gallery contains actual images of space debris taken by NASA.
Subsequent volumes will include more interviews with the English cast, the second and third parts of the interviews with the NASA scientists and other additional interviews, material and eater eggs.
Each volume will be released as a 2-disc special edition release.
